Artist Practice
Claude Como’s work explores the relationship between abstraction and the living world. Her compositions expand from free-form shapes inspired by botanical structures, yet they remain deliberately open, sensual, and unstable. Through scale and materiality, her works move beyond the wall and begin to operate as environments — soft architectures that respond to space and alter the viewer’s perception of it.

Project spotlight: SUPERNATURE.
SUPERNATURE is a project by Claude Como presenting large-scale tufted wool tapestries composed of free-form shapes derived from vegetal motifs and expanded to a scale of up to three metres. As modular elements, the works form adaptable vegetal walls that respond to and inhabit space.
Presented within a residential art gallery, the installation is embedded into the setting of a traditional Cypriot villa and its living garden, creating a dialogue between the constructed and the organic. The result is an immersive, polymorphic environment — tactile, spatial, and suspended between the artificial and the real.
