About the Event
A sound sculpture by Italian acoustic artist and designer Francesco Pellisari — a unique acoustic experience unfolding across three parts of an installation. Presented in Cyprus for the first time, the work has been created especially for the SYNCLERY space in Phinikaria.
What to Expect
Saturday, October 17
Part 1. Intro
Singing Bowls. Sound Bath
Around 20 singing bowls placed in the atmospheric courtyard of the gallery create a wave of sound. As you move through it, your body experiences a distinctive vibration. The session begins with a short introduction to the artist and his practice.
Part 2. Medium
The Main Sound Sculpture
Inside the gallery, the main sound sculpture immerses you in an atmosphere of transparent sound flowing through space, revealing the full acoustic range of the installation. You will experience three distinct sound environments, accompanied by an introduction to Francesco Pellisari’s artistic practice and his approach to working with sound.
Part 3. Outro
The Sound Pool
The third part of the installation is located in the SYNCLERY garden: a sound pool where audio enters into dialogue with water, becoming almost visible and tangible. This is a personal immersion into sound and an acoustic meditation experience, accompanied by the Tuscan-like landscape of Finikaria.
What will you take away?
A singular immersive experience that cannot be found in any other gallery in the world.

Curatorial Context

This event unfolds through the meeting of sculpture, sound, and space. Francesco Pellisari’s works do not treat sound as a background layer, but as a material condition that shapes perception, movement, and atmosphere.

Presented within the SYNCLERY setting, the experience explores how acoustic form can interact with architecture, landscape, water, and light. It reflects a wider curatorial interest in works that extend beyond the image and transform the way a space is felt, not only seen.
